I’m far from perfect, but I’m consistent in my drive to improve. I’ve suffered defeats and losses and I’ve learned from them. I do yoga, dance and ride my bike because these things help me get out of my head and into my body. I take classes and workshops as often as I can because learning new things keeps life interesting. I’ve got great instincts and I’ve perfected several coping skills, but I still stress eat too many cookies or tortilla chips when I’m over-stressed. I’m a work in progress, just like you.
My primary job is to create a safe space for you to do the work you’re going to do. I’m inquisitive and accepting so I can support you as you reveal parts of yourself you may have avoided allowing others to see outside of counseling. I find ways to connect with others in genuine ways so that they can show up authentically without fear of judgement.
